In the past, families took care of their elderly relatives themselves. Today, this has changed. On the one hand, because most of them are working, but on the other hand, because they want to offer older people a better quality of life with professional care.

For me and many other women, training in nursing means a great professional opportunity and the chance to work in a well-paid job.

The Fundación Avanzar and the University of Azuay have developed a programme in which we are trained as professional nurses. Thanks to your donation, the Foundation can cover various costs of this programme.
